The Wom*n’s Dept dressed up in ‘back to the 50’s’ costumes and took to the streets to demand a better education! Amid the 50’s dresses, feather dusters, pots and wooden spoons and plackards, we met at 12 to get frocked up in the Wom*n’s Room. Then at 1 pm, we met at the concrete lawns and marched to meet other universities at the State Library. We managed to take care of an unintelligent, violent campaign by the young liberals quite soon and marched back to Melbourne Uni for a festival where your trusty Wom*n’s Dept had a stall full of info and screen printing fun!
