How does MU Student Union Ltd. VCE Summer School differ from other programs?

MU Summer School takes pride in their commitment to the students. We tutor only in small class sizes and offer one-on-one focus learning also. This creates a friendlier and more personal environment for the students as we encourage them to actively participate in the tutorials.

Classes are staggered over two weeks rather than compacted into long lectures and they are complimented with a large range of workshops you can attend to extend your knowledge on the things you learn in the class room and which aim to provide a sneak peak at career opportunities and help aid in personal development.

In addition to learning in the classroom students should make use of our focus-tutoring program, which is unique to any of the competing programs. Making time to meet with a tutor one on one to learn foundational concepts and ask questions (no matter how basic you think they are) can provide a radical difference in making you feel comfortable and confident approaching your coursework and exams.

It can also provide an opportunity to extend your knowledge and challenge you by engaging in more advanced learning that will give you those skills to perform analytically and laterally in your final exam.

The experienced University students that take on the roles of tutors are not long out of high school themselves and are therefore very suited to advising the students on valuable study skills and exam techniques. Each tutor is given a subject booklet which is based on the VCE syllabus and the course outlines for the subject.

Not only does Summer School offer high-quality education, the students are also given the opportunity to participate in fun activities such as BBQs and workshops that give students a taste of the clubs and societies that are so critically important to maintaining cultural interests, good mental health and social networking.
