Lucy Du

is in her final year studying a combined Arts/Science degree, majoring in Psychology, Chinese and Pathology. Lucy has volunteered with VCE Summer School for two years and in that time she has taken up the roles of subject tutor for Biology and Chemistry and has also been a Residential tutor. She loves to work with young people, and sees the importance of allowing education for be accessible to all young people. Lucy recently visited New Zealand and had her first bungee jumping experience, and now she is addicted to extreme sports, we can’t control her extremeness. This will be her third Summer School, and she looks forward in meeting everyone!

Jessica Parker

is in her second year of a Bachelor of Arts Degree at Melbourne University, majoring in Cultural and Cinema Studies. After taking a year off after high school to travel as a nanny in America, she discovered a love for working with young people. This was her motivation behind joining the Summer School team for 2010, and she thoroughly looks forward to the experience of helping to provide education to a range of high school students across Victoria.

Guiseppe Rubino

studies law/arts at Monash University. He is in his third year of studying. This year will also be his third year of summer school. In the past he has been an activities coordinator, residential tutor and tutored literature, English, music and History revolutions. He enjoys gardening and propagating cactus and when not in the Summer school office can be seen hanging out on Pier St Altona or on the Esplanade in Williamstown. Giuseppe hopes to one day visit the giant Ram in Western Australia and other country attractions. This year he is hoping for the best summer school yet and looks forward to participating in the workshops and activities with you all.

Shane Woon

is a 2nd year student at the Victorian College of The Arts and Music (VCAM), studying a bachelor of production with a major in costume (design/making). Prior to studying at VCAM, Shane completed a Bachelor of Science with a major in Pathology. He cut his science career short as his love for theatre was greater and stronger and thus decided to make the switch. He has been involved in VCE Summer School since 2006 and believes in education access to all students and social justice. His dreams include designing for a Broadway show, ensuring that all youth in the world have a way to express themselves and that the world recognizes and appreciates the performing arts just as much as sport.
