One thing that sets Summer School apart from intensive summer programs is that we believe study is not the only aspect of VCE. The Activities program focuses on developing students’ interest outside of the classroom, as well as giving students a chance to have a much needed break from study.
A number of social activities, workshops and seminars are run throughout the program, designed for students to explore their post-VCE options and allow students to develop friendships all around Victoria. In previous years, the Activities Program has included Tutor vs. Student Debates, careers expo, movie night, trivia, taekwando workshops, relaxation seminars, lunch time barbeques and dance lessons.
This year, we hope to expand the extra-curricular program to give students a chance to try many non-conventional activities, whilst introducing the variety of support services available in the wider community that would be of benefit for students during their VCE and tertiary years. With this focus, we hope to encourage independence and skills necessary for students to engage in the wider world.
