Summer School Academic Program aims to provide tutorials for all VCE subjects on offer for the year. The program cost covers the full two week program, regardless of the number of subjects a student is enrolled in. Each subject consists of five tutorial classes, taught by university students with substantial experience in the subject background. For every subject there will also be either a workshop or an excursion to encourage hands-on and real-world application of concepts taught in the classroom.
Each student is provided with a personalised timetable and workbooks for every subject that cover topics relevant to assessment and VCAA study design. Tutorials focus on the building a clear framework on how the major topics and associated assessments will develop across the year. The students are not expected to walk out of Summer School with all the materials learnt, but rather, a clear idea on how they would travel through the areas of study and respond to the various challenges using effective study strategies. In addition to tutorials, Summer School offers a Focus Tutoring program which is available for all students the entire two weeks. This service provides one-on-one tutoring at no cost for students who wish to broaden their learning experience.
At the end of the program, students will receive a report card that will provide helpful feedback from your tutors to assist you with your learning throughout VCE.
