Introduction

Membership of Students’ Council is determined at annual student elections before the mid-semester break in semester two. Members of Students’ Council can be voting or non-voting members. Voting members are elected either as general representatives or representatives for specific constituencies. Only voting members may vote on motions, however those students who are not voting members may still speak, move and second motions. Non-voting members include Office-Bearers and the Presidents of other University of Melbourne Student Associations as outlined in the Constitution (42.1). If a vacancy occurs it is filled according to Electoral Regulations, usually involving ticket appointment.

Positions are listed in the order they are described in the Constitution and General Representatives are listed alphabetically by surname.
