Previous Reports

The Peer Support Program analysis results I discussed in August were published in the most recent edition Farrago, towards the end of September. The article is available for download here:

I took leave of absence for the duration of the elections. I am quite pleased with the result and have made the Returning Officer’s Reports available for the 2007, 2008 and most recent annual election.

Following the election result, my work has turned towards assisting the new administration in transition and supporting them. To this end I have met with the Secretary-elect and provided her with resources to assist her in taking on the role. I have also been in consultation with the President-elect and Education (Academic Affairs) Officers-elect regarding the Student Representative Network. In 2009 the appointment of student representatives to University Committees was not completed until April. The 2010 appointment of student representatives has now begun, with applications open until 5pm, Friday 30 October.

During September, I also supported the Clubs & Societies Department in conducting an audit of financial matters in club AGM papers.

Students’ Council: Relatively inactive.

There was one meeting of Students’ Council in September. This special meeting was almost exclusively regarding the Annual General Meeting and Special General Meeting. It approved funds for a second application for extension of time to hold an AGM and lodge annual statements, set the AGM/SGM date and location. It also approved funds to pay the photographer who took candidate photos for the elections.
