Between Wednesday 24 June and Friday 26 June, a survey of the REB as an exam venue was conducted at the REB.
Summary of Findings
The majority of students are satisfied with the Royal Exhibition Building as an examinations venue, however, it is not without its difficulties. More than two thirds (67.8%) have experienced difficulties with being too cold and a smaller percentage have difficulties accessing toilets (8.3%) or being rained on (4.4%). Only 44.9% of students are satisfied with the security of their belongings at the venue.
Student comments also provide useful insight into how the process of exams can be improved in the future. Ensuring consistency of information between invigilators is important, as well as reasonable measures that reduce noise inside the venue. The inclusion of reading time on the exam timetable would also provide students with better information about their exams.
