MU Student Union Online

The annual Queer Collaborations conference is a week-long program of workshops, seminars, talkshops, art, social events and networking. This year the 18th Queer Collaborations will be held in Canberra with the theme ‘Canberra: deceit of government’. As a democracy, Australia should be governed by it’s people. Oppression, homophobia and the laws which support them do not represent us. Engagement with the elected Australian government and with the people who it represents is vital to effecting any change. So no matter how you choose to engage, whether it be through art-making, lobbying government, grass-roots activism or simply by challenging homophobia in your day to day life, come share and learn with us. Registration, Accommodation and Transport

Conference registration forms are available from the Queer office and the UMSU student office bearers reception on first floor, Union House. Also in the Queer Space (third floor, Union House) and the Womyn’s room (first floor, Union House). Please return completed forms to the Queer officers or the UMSU student office bearers reception if they’re unavailable. Transport details will be provided after registration. Registration and transportation costs will be subsidised by the UMSU Queer Department.

Accommodation is not provided by the organisers but here are some suggestions:

University House, ANU

There are also low- or no-cost alternatives for attendees who are unable to afford the above options.
