From the 28 August to 3 September a delegation of Chinese student leaders from Beijing's Tsinghua University Student Union will be visiting the University of Melbourne. During this time the Student Union will be hosting a number of events and activities to help build cross cultural understandings between Chinese and Australian students.
The Chinese students are planning on introducing student union elections on their campus by 2011. Therefore a major focus of their visit will be discussing democracy with University of Melbourne students. If you want to learn more about how student organisations operate or wish to assist the Chinese students in their goal please refer to the program below to see what's happening and when.
Contact Libby Buckingham on president@union.unimelb.edu.au if you'd like to find out more about the program or would like to register to participate.
