Co-hosted by the UMSU Queer + Wom*n’s Departments, “Rad Sex & Consent Week” was a week of radically re-thinking and re-learning sex education that included workshops, facilitated discussions and other events centred around making sex safer, more respectful and more fun for ourselves and others!
Both the Bradley Review of Higher Education (2008) and the Base Funding Review (2011) recommended an immediate increase in funding to higher education. If the Government wishes to maintain a world-class university system in Australia, now is the time to increase, not decrease funding to higher education.
At approximately 9:30am today (23 April 2012), the UMSU President Mark Kettle received a phone call from a radio station and agreed to talk about the Student Council resolution in relation to the commemoration of ANZAC Day.

The aim of this short survey is to know what did you like or you did not like from O’Week 2012: information, entertainment, activities and sponsors.
The Student Union is here to look after you if you get into trouble, represent students to the university, runs campaigns from improving youth allowance to recording all lectures. It also organises and funds clubs and events so that your time at university is more than just study.
Orientation was one of the largest the Student Union has had in years! Thanks to the thousands of students who came and participated in orientation events throughout the week. With more events than ever before being run on campus by the Student Union departments and clubs through out O Week and the rest of the year, make sure you get involved.
