Overseas Student Ambassador Program

Do you feel that your life as a tertiary student only constitutes assignments, tutorials and lectures? Do you want to expand your social network as well as the horizon in your Melbourne Experience? Are you interested in gaining some exposure in leadership roles and event/project management? If your answer is `yes’ for any of the questions above, the Melbourne University Overseas Students’ Service would like to invite you to register in our Overseas Student Ambassador (OSA) program.

What is the OSA Program?

The Overseas Student Ambassador Program is an integrated volunteering program that aims to build a community of students outside of classrooms while engaging them with volunteering and leadership opportunities. Successful applicants will have the chance to volunteer for Melbourne University events/projects such as Night Market, Festival of Nations, Orientation, Bookfest and other media/publications. At the end of their term and upon completion of the required 30 hours of service, OSAs will receive a certificate of recognition.

Requirements for the OSA Program.

All applicants must be students of the University of Melbourne. OSAs have exactly one semester to complete their required hours and must be able to commit throughout this period.
