Advocacy

The Student Union Advocacy Service assists students with personal, academic, and administrative issues, including academic appeals, special consideration applications, student grievances, unsatisfactory progress proceedings and many others. Advocacy Service staff understand the University’s internal processes well and can help students gain the information needed to resolve their issues.

Student Representatives

Student representatives are here because no one understands student issues better than students themselves. They organise activities that give life to the student experience, from bands, clubs and parties to forums and campaigns. Getting in touch with your student representatives is the best way to keep up to date with what is happening around the University. Any Student Union member can run for an elected student representative position.

A Voice on Campus

The Student Union plays an important role in bringing student concerns to the attention of the University. Its representatives sit in University committees to provide student input into the University’s policies, course contents, support facilites and services, as well as participate in nationwide campaigns that are centred around student issues.

Melbourne University Overseas Students’ Service

The Melbourne University Overseas Students’ Service (MUOSS) organises cultural events, social activities, education campaigns and a variety of publications. If you’re new to Melbourne, MUOSS is the place to go to meet like-minded students. Events throughout the year include Night Market, Festival of Nations, Book Fair, City Race, Central Australia Trips and much more.
