We are living in an era of permanent catastrophe: a relentless stream of real-time disasters bombards us daily from political crises to environmental cataclysm. Tropic Entropic proposes a local disaster of semiotic decay, in which Australia’s landscape—already reduced to a collection of absurd icons—gradually loses meaning as it is reduced to spectacular imitations.
