The Media Department and the Secretary have put together a draft of a new Student Newspaper Policy, which aims to clarify some of the ambiguous areas of the Union’s Constitution regarding the relationship between Farrago and the Union and University.
Again, this is just a draft, and we’re releasing it here for consultation with the wider University community. Readers of Farrago, contributors and other stakeholders are invited to read the draft policy and make submissions by 5pm on Friday 1 May. Submissions may be made in writing to
the Secretary, UMSU Inc, First Floor Union House, University of Melbourne, VIC
3010 or by email to secretary@union.unimelb.edu.au.
The policy will then be amended taking into account submissions received and submitted to Students' Council.
