The following are the policy statements received from candidates for the 2008 annual student election. Statements that exceeded the word limit (300 words for officer positions, all others 100 words) have been cut at that point, but otherwise they appear here exactly as received. Candidates’ names are in the order in which they will appear on the ballot paper.
Polling stations for the 2008 election will be open during the week of 8 – 12 September, at the following locations: Union House, Baillieu Library, Education Resource Centre and Burnley Campus Centre. This is the complete list of nominations received for the annual student election to be held from Monday 8 to Friday 12 September 2008.
To assist prospective candidates in the annual elections, particularly those who may be organising tickets, we are holding an information session at 4pm on Thursday, 7 August
in the Student Resource Room, first floor, Union House.
