An opportunity for students to participate in workshops organised and run by students about issues relating to tertiary education, covering a range of different topics. The conference often also hosts guest speakers and panels of politicians, academics and education experts to discuss issues relating to students and higher education.

After the hard work of UMSU the University is changing its policy on the results of the Subject Experience Surveys (SES), feedback will now be provided to students with the results and what will be done to address the common themes raised by students in the surveys.

The University run Subject Experience Surveys are now open until the 4th of November for Semester 2 subjects. The SES is an important feedback mechanism for the University and faculties to find out what works and what doesn’t.
