The Student Union is unfortunately no longer in a position to subsidise a dental service on campus. We have been providing this subsidy since 1995 however due to the changed circumstances of our funding arrangements and the provider of the Service refusing to agree to a new funding arrangement and location we have had to close the Service.
The Student Union Dental Service on Cardigan Street will be closing its doors for the last time on Saturday 9 August 2008.
2008 Student Union Dental Rebate
Student Union Members will still be entitled to a rebate as part of their membership in second semester. If you bring in your student ID and a dated receipt from a dental consultation, we will give you a $20 cash rebate. Present your receipt at the Information Centre on the ground floor of Union House to claim your rebate.
Old Dental Records
We would also like to take this opportunity to encourage patients to claim their records from the dental service before 9 August to avoid the cost of having new x-rays taken at your next dentist.
Future Dental Services
The Student Union is currently investigating other options to allow our members to access discounted dental care in the future. We will keep you informed of any developments.
Enquiries about recovering your records or appointments can be made in person at the Dental Service or by telephone on 8344 7234, between 9am and 2pm weekdays until 9 August 2008.
*The receipt must be in your name, and you can claim the rebate only once, and only during second semester, 2008.
