This year has already started off with a bang, with Clubs Committee meeting twice already and our budget being approved! W00t! We’ve also started the year with 102 clubs, which is a nice number!
This year the C&S office is staffed by Fiona Sanders (C&S Administrator). She can help you with queries about clubs, paperwork, AGMs, and affiliation requirements. She does go a bit peculiar when people don’t fill in paperwork properly (or if she sees a mouse, but that’s another story…). She also enjoys sewing, Tupperware and coffee. Your two officers, Goldie Pergl and Michelle Kovacevic, are the ones to see about starting a new club, club issues and are also the ones who represent clubs to Students’ Council, so if you’re having any issue related to clubs, come and find us!
Michelle was on C&S committee last year, loves Colin Firth and dancing, hates beer and cotton wool and is the Treasurer of the Science Students Society. Goldie was the C&S Officer last year, and obviously couldn’t get enough of the place, so is back, for another year of Castro’s coffee and green pen love. She also loves good comedy, and being her usual nerdy self.
We also have a penguin who doesn’t do much really, since it is inflatable, but it does go to council occasionally, and seems to be our new mascot.
