Hello there everyone and welcome to the Arts Dept 2009. If you know us and love us, hello! It’s nice to be back. If you’re just getting to know us, greetings and salutations, we’re excited to get to know you!
This year the Arts Dept is working away at the oldies and goodies, the competitions you know and love. We’re going to be taking a fresher than fresh new approach to the Framed photography competition, taking it out of the gallery and into all the spaces around Union House. We’ll also be running the ever popular creative writing competition Above Water, with the Media Dept.
But WAIT, there’s much much more. We’ll be mixing things up with a few exciting new events and ideas, but they’re all in the pipeline so we’ll keep them hush hush for now!
This year you’ll also be seeing, and hopefully participating in MUDfest, the biannual arts festival held right here on campus. Check out the website here.
Finally don’t forget about the radically cool amazingly fun ARTs Collective. We want to help you create an energetic, inclusive collective where you can chat about making art, meet new people and learn new skills. It’s up to you!
