Above Water is the annual creative writing competition and anthology published by the Arts and Media (Farrago) Departments of the Student Union. It is your chance to get published and maybe win a fantastic prize. We are now seeking submissions.
Call for Submissions
Submissions are open to all Melbourne University students. There is no limitation on theme and we encourage experimentation with creative style and genre, including poetry and prose.
A selection of works will be included in the 2008 publication, which will be launched during the 2008 The Age Melbourne Writers’ Festival.

The author of the most outstanding submission will receive an award which aims to further their creative development. Last year the award was for flights and accommodation for two to the National Young Writers Festival in Newcastle, NSW. This and other awards will be announced during the launch on Thursday 28 August, 2008.
The Deadline for submission is 5pm, Friday, August 1 2008.
