Who exactly are your Arts Officers for 2008 and what do they do?
Your Arts Officers are Maddie Crofts and Ella McDonald.
Our job is to facilitate, promote and generally encourage student art in every way, shape or form. We distribute arts grants to those looking to develop their work, we organise exciting events throughout the year and make sure that the arts community on campus continues to thrive, provoke and delight.
Maddie is a third-year arts student, studying French and Creative Writing. She enjoys theatre that makes you laugh out loud, short stories that leave you questioning, pushing other people’s buttons and getting up early.
Ella being in her final year of her Creative Arts degree, likes to marinate herself in all kinds of creative soups, just like the creative melting pot that is the Student Union. Besides making bad culinary puns, she loves film, animation, and theatre (and often *cough* the musical kind) and will give anything a red hot go.
